Quezon City, Philippines—SBS Philippines Corporation, in partnership with the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), successfully concluded its Breast Cancer Screening program on March 15 and 22, 2025. Spearheaded by The Sytengco Group of Companies, this initiative reached women in various neighborhoods, offering critical early detection services that can save lives.
In 2021, the Philippines recorded the highest prevalence of breast cancer in Asia and ranked 9th globally, with 27,000 new cases, according to Novotech, a leading regional full-service contract research organization (CRO) in Asia-Pacific. Recognizing this alarming statistic, SBS Philippines collaborated with PCS to deliver free screenings and educational talks. PCS brought their Mobile Clinic to provide on-site examinations, ensuring women had easy access to these life-saving services. The program encouraged participants to prioritize their health by emphasizing the value of early detection and regular check-ups.
This initiative also highlighted the powerful impact of partnerships in addressing pressing health concerns. SBS Philippines actively organized the program’s logistics, while PCS provided their expertise in cancer awareness and advocacy. Together, they broke down barriers to healthcare, offering hope and support to women and their families.
