SBS Philippines Corporation Goes Green

SBS Philippines Corporation, a top chemical distributor in the Philippines, adopts renewable energy for its Quezon City warehouse expansion.

Solar Panel Installation

On December 10, 2021, SBS formally accepted the first phase of solar panel installation. The system features a 120.96 kWp solar setup, integrating 288 SunPower SPR-P3-420-COM panels, SolarEdge optimizers, and two SolarEdge 82.8K three-phase inverters. The installation aims to decrease SBS’s electricity consumption from the grid by up to 121,000 kWh annually. This reduction is equivalent to a 47.2 mt decrease in CO2 emissions per year or planting 1,400 trees annually.

Commitment to Sustainability

This project supports SBS’s goal to cut direct distribution emissions by 75% by 2030. As part of its sustainability program, the company will invest in strategic initiatives to drive growth.
